Akhil: The Power of Jua is an Socio-fantasy film directed by V. V. Vinayak. The film, produced jointly by actor Nithin and his father Sudhakar Reddy on Sresht Movies banner, features Akkineni Akhil and Sayesha Saigal in their debut Telugu cinema. Anup Rubens and S. Thaman composed the film's music. The film's story was written by Veligonda Srinivas and Kona Venkat wrote the film's dialogues. Production began on 17 December 2014 and the film will be released on 11 November 2015. The film will be released in Tamil as Surya Kavacham.The film received mixed reviews from critics.

Language	Telugu Plot The film starts with explaining how some indians made a sphere with gems in it called the Jua which has the power to absorb UV rays and protect the earth. They give Jua to an African tribe and leave from there. This is a story from thousands of years ago and the story moves to today when a Russian don is working with an Indian don to capture the Jua. Their men go to the tribe but on person takes and escapes. Now the story moves to Hyderabad to a young and carefree orphan named Akhil (Akhil). He fights people for money and then celebrates with friends. One day, his friend comes to him and tells him that a girl hit him when he said I love you because he never studied and is not smart. Akhil goes to meet the girl, Divya(Sayesha) and immediately falls in love with her. Since he knows that she likes people who are educated, Akhil tells Divya that he is a veterinary doctor who studied in Cambridge. She is impressed but Akhil faces trouble when she wants him to operate on a rabbit. While thinking of what to do, he sees K.V.Rajendra Prasad(Rajendra Prasad) and blackmails him into helping Akhil while operating the rabbit. Akhil makes Divya operate on the rabbit while he tells her instructions that Rajendra Prasad was telling him on the bluetooth. Because of this Divya invites Akhil and his friends to her wedding with Kishore(Vennela Kishore). Later Akhil realizes that Kishore is in love with someone else and unites Kishore and his lover making Divya's dad(Mahesh Manjrekar) who was the Indian don shown in the beginning of the movie. Akhil manages to convince Divya and her dad that Divya should marry someone that she loves and would love her back. Meanwhile, Akhil blackmails Rajendra Prasad into acting like his father because Divya's father doesn't like people without families. But Divya goes to Europe and Akhil purposefully loses in a fight so that he would get enough to get to Europe and save Rajendra Prasad's mother because of a surgery making Rajendra Prasad's family basically say that we will always be your family. Once Akhil gets to, Europe Divya asks Akhil to love her so that Kishore will be jealous but doesn't know that this Akhil's plan. Meanwhile Divya treats the man who ran away with the Jua because they are friends. After a little bit, Akhil tells Divya that he was the one who united Kishore and his lover breaking Divya's marriage. She gets mad at him and tries to leave but is kidnapped by the Russian's man, Mambo, who thinks that Divya knows about the Jua. Akhil gets injured while chasing them as he is hit by Divya's dad who knows that he loves her. When he falls under a tree, a chain with a locket in the shape of a sun falls on his neck. He learns who Mambo is and where they took Divya through her father and with Kishore they leave for Africa. Once they get there, a church father asks Akhil to hold his bible and cross and the white coat while he goes to the restroom. Johnson and Johnson(Brahmanandam) who came there to pick up the father mistakes Akhil for the father and helps him. Akhil tells him to drive to where Mambo is but Johnson is scared but still takes him to the rough area. When thieves attack them, Akhil promises the leader that if he tells them where Mambo lives exactly and show them the way, he can take Johnson's car. The thief who is a kid happily agrees and takes them there. Akhil quickly beats up Mambo's brother and while holding him hostage, rescues Divya, who still won't talk to him.In the meantime, Divya's father comes to rescue her and realizes Akhil already rescued her and tells him not to come for him at any cost. But he can't see Divya crying and goes back to save her dad and they all get captured while Johnson gets beaten since he hit Mambo's brother on the nose and broke it. But they manage to escape and Akhil fights a tiger to save Divya which makes Divya forgive him and her father likes and approves of him now. But when they get to village where the African tribe guarding the Jua live, the Russian don and Mambo find them and in an ensuring fight Akhil kills Mambo's brother but is hurt in the ribs by Mambo. Akhil finally gets to know where the Jua actually is and what it is. He promises that he will bring it back from the cave it is in if the African tribe and everyone that came with him is to be left alive. After getting the Jua, Akhil kills Mambo and his men and fights the Russian don in a helicopter while killing the pilot causing it to drive into a volcano. But Akhil jumps out with a parachute before anything happens and with the help of the tribal head, puts it back where it belongs. The movie ends with Johnson finally realizing that Akhil is not a church father and came there to rescue Divya. He also realizes that Akhil told the kid to take his car as payment. Either Vikram Kumar or Deva Katta were expected to direct Akhil's debut as a lead actor. While Nagarjuna reportedly confirmed Vikram Kumar to direct Akhil's second film, Deva Katta was confirmed to direct Manchu Vishnu in the Telugu remake of Arima Nambi (2014).On 21 September 2014, Akhil said "I know that a lot of people are curious to know details about my debut film. However, I would like to clarify that I haven't made up my mind yet. I want to start my career with a blockbuster film and I'm not going to settle for anything less than that. If all goes well, I will announce details about my debut film in near future after Oka Laila Kosam releases. Till then, all I can say is, I'm still working hard on what my debut film should be", at an event celebrating Akkineni Nageswara Rao's birth anniversary and the success of Manam. Later V. V. Vinayak was approached to direct this film after the release of Alludu Seenu (2014). Veligonda Srinivas, who penned the script for Akkineni Nagarjuna's Dhamarukam (2012), wrote the film's story. Kona Venkat and Gopimohan were working on the film's screenplay. The film's principal photography was expected to begin on 15 November 2014.Anup Rubens & S. Thaman were selected as the music directors.Nithiin was reported to be a part of the film in late November 2014 which was supposed to be a romantic film with adventurous backdrop. He was also reported to produce the film while the story discussions slowed down as Vinayak's mother fell ill.Vinayak's mother died in early December 2014 because of which the film's launch was postponed by a week. The film was officially launched on 17 December 2014 in Hyderabad. Nithiin along with his father Sudhakar Reddy was confirmed to bankroll the film under the banner Sresht Movies. Amol Rathod and Gautham Raju were confirmed as the cinematographer and editor, respectively. Kona Venkat was confirmed to pen the film's dialogues while screenplay was announced to be handled by Vinayak himself. Nithiin said that they are searching for a new actress as the female lead and the regular shoot would begin in early January 2015.Akhil said in an interview to Sanchita Dash that the film is an action movie with few stunts and would be shot in a new style of filming. He also confirmed that a new actress would be selected and screen tests are being held. He added that they opted for a new actress as he himself is a debutante and to minimize the burden and expectations on the film. Sayesha Saigal was reported to be the female lead later marking her Telugu debut. Soundtrack The soundtrack was jointly composed by Anup Rubenss and S. Thaman. Visual effects was said to be the reason behind the delay.The makers have confirmed that film will be releasing on 11 November.			Marketing On 29 August 2015, Salman Khan released 55-second first look teaser. The teaser received mixed response from viewers.
